Local Ambulance Service

FC Ambulance Service

Farmer City Ambulance has been serving the community of Farmer City, as a transporting agency since 1980 when they were first issued licensure as a Basic Life Support Agency. We have constantly upgraded and improved our service with upgrades to advanced life support care, and most recently the purchase of a new ambulance. In the future we plan to, not only keep up with the current standard of care, but to be the model for other rural agencies.

Farmer City Ambulance is a Paid/Volunteer service providing emergency treatment and transportation to citizens of Farmer City, Bellflower, Mansfield, Parnell, Dewitt, and the surrounding areas. We respond to an average of 25 calls per month.

Our service is Advanced Life Support equipped and staffed 24hrs a day by State Licensed Paramedics and EMT's. We currently employ 25 persons, and maintain 3 ambulances. Our average in town response time is between 3 and 5 minutes.

We are members of the Provena/Covenant regional Emergency Medical Services System (CREMSS).

Farmer City Ambulance also has 5 CPR instructors on staff, and offers CPR classes to the public on a monthly basis. We also offer First aid, and First responder classes when the need arises. EMT classes are held on average once a year. Continuing Education classes are held for EMT through EMT-P, on the 4th Thursday of each month, in the city council chambers at 7pm. If you are interested in any of these classes, or wish to become a part of our service, please contact the Farmer City Ambulance Administrator, Dave Welton, at the address below.
